Shutdown maintenance, around the clock
A shutdown is your chance to get ahead of breakdowns: services, defect lists, component changeouts and structural repairs all done in one window. Yates Group puts together shutdown crews of diesel fitters, auto electricians and boilermakers who can work day shift, night shift or both, so the work keeps moving 24 hours a day and the machine is handed back sooner.

What a Yates Group crew brings
Every crew is made up of our own qualified tradespeople. Fitters handle the mechanical and hydraulic scope, auto electricians cover wiring, sensors and electrical defects, and boilermakers take care of cracks, wear and fabrication. Because they work together regularly, handovers between day and night shift are clean and nothing falls through the gaps.
We can also supply the gear the job needs: rated stands from 30T to 150T, hot wash units for pre-shutdown cleaning, compressors and Hytorc and hydraulic tooling. One call covers people and equipment.
Safety and site requirements
Our crew holds the tickets and site inductions needed for mining, civil and power generation sites, and we have been nine years LTI free. We work to your permits, isolations and site rules, and we plan the scope with your maintenance team before the machine comes down.
When the scope grows
Shutdowns often turn up more than the plan expected. If a component needs a full rebuild, we can do it on site or take it back to our Emerald workshop for an off-site overhaul while the rest of the shutdown carries on. And if something fails outside the window, our 24/7 breakdown call-outs have you covered.
