Yates Group is an Emerald-based heavy equipment maintenance company. From our base at 29 Hawkins Place we send diesel fitters, auto electricians and boilermakers to mining, civil, agriculture and power generation sites from Collinsville to Roma and Kingaroy, across the Bowen and Surat Basins.
Since 2019 we have kept excavators, haul trucks, dozers, drills and generators working: breakdowns at any hour, planned shutdowns on day or night shift, and rebuilds on site or in our workshop. Nine years LTI free says a lot about how we work.

Do you do 24/7 breakdowns?
Yes. Yates Group runs breakdown call-outs 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Call 0498 222 571 at any hour and we will send a diesel fitter, auto electrician or boilermaker out from Emerald.
Do you do night shift?
Yes. Our shutdown crews work day shift and night shift, so maintenance can keep going around the clock and machines get back to work sooner.
Will you come to our mine site?
Yes. We work on site at mines, civil projects, farms and power stations from Collinsville to Roma and Kingaroy, across the Bowen and Surat Basins.
Do you do off-site rebuilds and overhauls?
Yes. As well as on-site machinery rebuilds, we carry out off-site repairs, rebuilds and overhauls at our Emerald workshop at 29 Hawkins Place.
Are your tradespeople ticketed and inducted?
Yes. Our diesel fitters, auto electricians and boilermakers are qualified tradespeople who hold the tickets and site inductions needed for mining, civil and power generation work, and our crew is nine years LTI free.
Do you work on farm machinery?
Yes. We repair and service agricultural machinery, including tractors, harvesters and implements, as well as heavy mining and civil plant.
Can I hire stands without labour?
Yes. Our rated stands (30T to 150T), hot wash units, compressors and Hytorc and hydraulic tooling can be hired on their own, without a Yates Group crew.
