Keep the power on

Remote sites depend on generators for camps, workshops, dewatering pumps, lighting plants and process equipment. When a generator stops, work stops with it. Yates Group provides scheduled generator servicing and fast repairs so your power supply stays reliable, wherever your site is between Collinsville and Roma.

Generator services we provide

Scheduled servicing: oils, filters, coolant, belts and inspections
Diesel engine fault-finding and repairs
Electrical and control fault-finding by our auto electricians
Cooling system, fuel system and starting system repairs
Breakdown call-outs 24 hours a day, 7 days a week
Ongoing field service contracts for fleets of generators

Who we work for

Our generator work supports mine sites and their camps, civil and infrastructure projects, farms and irrigators, and power generation operators across the Bowen and Surat Basins. It's the same diesel and electrical expertise our crews bring to excavators and haul trucks, applied to the gear that keeps the lights on.

Servicing on a schedule

The best generator repair is the one you never need. We can set up a regular servicing schedule based on run hours, so every unit on your site is looked after on time and you get a record of the work. If you already have a shutdown planned, we can fold generator servicing into the same window.

When it fails

If a generator goes down, call 0498 222 571. Our 24/7 breakdown service will send a fitter or auto electrician to fault-find and repair on site. Where a major component needs work, we can carry out an off-site repair or overhaul at our Emerald workshop.

Qualified and site-ready

Our tradespeople hold the tickets and site inductions needed for mine, civil and power generation sites, and our crew has been nine years LTI free. We cover Emerald, the Central Highlands, Isaac, Banana Shire, Gladstone, Rockhampton, the Western Downs, Maranoa and the Burnett. See our service areas.
