24/7 Heavy Equipment Breakdown Call-outs
When a machine goes down, every hour costs you. Yates Group answers 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and sends qualified tradespeople from Emerald to get it moving again.
Breakdown repairs, any hour of the day
Breakdowns don't wait for day shift. Whether it's a hydraulic hose on an excavator at 2am, an electrical fault on a haul truck mid-shift or a cracked boom that needs a boilermaker, Yates Group runs breakdown call-outs around the clock. Call 0498 222 571 and you will speak to someone who can get a fitter rolling.
Our breakdown crews are the same diesel fitters, auto electricians and boilermakers who do our planned work, so they know heavy plant and they come to your site in their utes with their tools, ready to fault-find and repair on the spot.
What we attend
- Mining excavators and shovels: hydraulic, engine, cooling and electrical faults
- Haul trucks and articulated dump trucks (ADTs)
- Dozers, graders, loaders and rollers
- Drill rigs, including drill and blast support equipment
- Generators and site power plant (see generator servicing)
- Tractors, harvesters and agricultural machinery
How a call-out works
Ring us and tell us the machine, the symptoms and where it is. We'll confirm who is coming and an arrival time, then dispatch the right trade: a fitter for mechanical and hydraulic faults, an auto electrician for wiring, sensors and starting problems, or a boilermaker for structural damage. If the machine needs more than a field fix, we can arrange a component changeout on site or bring the part back for an off-site rebuild in our Emerald workshop.
Our tradespeople hold the tickets and site inductions needed for mine, civil and power generation sites, and our crew has been nine years LTI free. Getting a machine back to work fast matters, but nobody gets hurt doing it.
Where we cover
We're based at 29 Hawkins Place, Emerald, right in the middle of the Bowen Basin. Our crews attend breakdowns from Collinsville, Glenden and Moranbah in the north, through Blackwater, Capella and Springsure, down to Moura, Biloela, Taroom, Miles, Chinchilla, Roma and Kingaroy in the south. See our full service areas.
Prevent the next one
Plenty of breakdowns trace back to missed services and small defects left too long. Once you're running again, ask us about a field service contract or a planned shutdown crew so your fleet is maintained on a schedule rather than when it stops. Need stands or tooling for the job? We hire rated stands, hot wash units and Hytorc tooling too.
Call 0498 222 571 for a 24/7 breakdown call-out, or email admin@yatesgroup.net for non-urgent work.
